the Ultimate guide to SUCCESS in 2023

It is never too early to begin planning, and if you know me at all you'd know I have been trying to come up with a rough draft for 2023 for some time ago already. Just having everything figured out gives me a sense of direction and security. But as a Christian, you might guess this is not the correct way to think about things. So for almost a whole day, I sat at my desk and read over some journaling I had done over the days and a LOT of Bible verses that often tug at my heart and kinda came up with a "plan", but it was actually like a prayer list to guide me through 2023. And even though it is a tiny bit personal, I wanted to share it with you, because as always: I never know when something in it might help you.

• God, please, let my purpose for this year be to ”LABOUR FOR YOU” John 4:31-41, help me to always keep present that Your calling for me is to “LABOUR FOR YOU”. Help me to understand the urgency of the harvest being ready now and how it will spoil if I don’t do my part. Help me understand how Your will for me should be my only concern.

• I want You to use me JESUS, help me be like the men Moses chose to help him lead the people of Israel: God-fearing, people of truth, and hating covetousness (the feeling of having a strong desire for the things that other people have). Help me understand how crucial my testimony can be in the process of others being brought near Your Light and Salvation.

• Please give me disposition to ALWAYS follow Your ways! “Let” me “let” my heart be touched by You every time, do not EVER let me place excuses or a half hearted mind into what You are asking of me. I give you “all the permission” to mold my heart according to Yours, My Jesus. PLEASE, DO NOT LET MY STUBBORNNESS AND INCREDULITY STOP YOU FROM WORKING IN ME.

• Remind me, please, of the fact that there will always be something I can do better, something in which you want me to improve, and let this be not only an encouragement to reach a goal but also a reminder that I AM NO GOOD. Help me remember that even myself is blind to the bad things I do Job 6:30

• Always dwarf me with Your glory Job 4:17

• HELP ME TO BE A CLEAN VESSLE SO YOU CAN USE ME!

• I beg You to never let me “get used to” and much less “take for granted” EVERY SINGLE miracle You constantly do for me. Please allow me to always be astonished into silence by Your wonders and mercy.

• take away any hint of fear from my heart. Help me learn from the people of Israel’s mistakes and don’t even let me forget when You moved mountains for me over and over, help me to have it written in my heart that FOR YOU (JESUS) NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

• JESUS, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS YOU. ARE. STILL. MY. GOD. Job 13:15 and You will receive ALL THE HONOR AND GLORY FROM ME.

• give me the strength and longing to do MY EVERYTHING FOR YOU, help me understand that I am working for YOU, MY VERY CREATOR, help me to it all with all. my. might. Colossians 3:23-24

• help me remember that my record is with YOU, not with any other human being, You are the one I am being accountable to Job 16:19-20

• 2nd main goal of the year: never leave You for second choice, let my dependency on You be constant, day by day, minute by minute!

• THANKFULNESS and JOYFULNESS: do not let me take anything for granted, help me understand that I don’t deserve anything, I have a right for nothing, yet You in Your infinite mercy give me ALL I Thessalonians 5:19, Romans 4:4, Romans 4:11

• LOVE: help me to catch the importance of this, take away this selfishness that abides in me and put Your love instead, help me to understand and forbear every person You allow me to cross paths with, help me to think like they think and have that compassion You had with me. Help me respect how everyone is its own world and You just ask of me to bring light into it.
