I Guarantee A Laugh With These Sitcoms

Sitcom: a television series in which the same characters are involved in amusing situations in each show.

Not sure why I find this type of TV so much fun. Probably because I am always on the run and having some light comedy to watch while getting ready, organizing my room, or cooking makes everything so much more entertaining. It is harder for me to go through a whole series when each episode extends to over 40 minutes. So over the years and after paying many streaming subscriptions (mainly Netflix, Disney+, and HBO Max ), I have compiled a list for you of the top 5 sitcoms that will make you laugh your head off and have a blast while doing the dullest tasks.

1. FRIENDS - this show needs no introduction. It is the most hilarious and the "best-cast chemistry" series you will ever find. I do not feel like I should say more about the “girls and boys across the hall” because you have to see it for yourself. The last thing I will mention is: I have watched the whole 10 seasons over 8 times (I cannot quite remember if I have reached 10 times so I will not exaggerate).

2. The Office - I had so many mixed feelings about this show when I began watching it. I literally almost did not make it past the first episode due to its weirdness. It is simply made in a very unique manner and that threw me off a little. But if you are starting to watch it I do promise you, it gets SO much better after the first astonishingly weird episodes. All I can say is that Michael Scott will forever be the only main character you will want to both hug and bang against a wall at the same time.

3. The Big Bang Theory - It took one of my friends a lot of persuading to get me to watch this one. But once I started I could not stop. I idolize FRIENDS a little too much so I would not compare this one to FRIENDS but the storylines are kind of similar in some aspects and the characters are still as amusing and the story will surely trap you for all 12 seasons.

4. The Fresh Prince - I feel like it took me forever to finish this one. But it was so worth it. I laughed my head off multiple times throughout. Will Smith has always been one of my favorite actors and seeing his start in the acting world in such a hilarious sitcom is super entertaining. Another plus side to this series is the fact that it is safe for every audience (in my opinion), it is not explicit, and the jokes are moderate and lack any sort of bad language. Definitely safe to watch with friends or cousins. You will have a blast.

5. Full House - A classic of course. Personally, though, I have never finished watching all 8 seasons. Just because even though it is funny, super cute, and entertaining to get a glance at the 90s fashion, it is a little too “family-friendly” in that every episode involves a silly argument with an obvious resolution if that makes sense? It is still fun though and certainly safe to watch with family and friends.
